Omisell has an integrated feature to automatically send email/sms to notify customers of order status or send sms/email notifications to a certain customer database.

This feature helps sellers to easily notify customers of order status, increase customer relationship for the business brands as well as help sellers save time and effort in sending notifications to customers.

For example, when the delivery fails, the seller can set up an automatic sms message to notify the customer that the order has not been delivered and how to contact for processing; or when a business wants to announce a promotion for customers with high-value orders, it can also be applied to send mass notifications to customers whose orders are of sufficient value to join discounts.

To use this feature, follow these 5 steps:

Step 1: Create email/sms template – create message content to send to customers

Step 2: Set up SMS - select order status when the customer receives the sms

Step 3: Set up email server to send messages to customers – Connect your email marketing system with Omisell

Step 4: Install SMS switchboard – Connect the switchboard to send SMS to your customers in Omisell

Step 5: Set up automatic email/sms sending conditions – Select conditions according to order/customer and corresponding email/sms model so that Omisell automatically sends email/sms.

Below are detailed instructions on how to set up automatic email/sms on Omisell

1. Create Email and SMS templates

To use this application, users first need to create email / sms templates by going to Settings >> Email and SMS templates.

Here you create sample emails and sample sms to send to customers in the Email templates, SMS message templates by selecting the Add new.

Create a email template

Some factors needed in the email such as receiver's name, receiver's email, etc. can be clicked to save and use Ctrl + V to add in the email template.

Create SMS templates

In SMS templates >> Add New.

Similar to the step of creating an email, fill template name for easy lookup and the sample email content, then select Save.

2. SMS settings

Select settings SMS , in the Email and SMS templates, there is an option to send a message according to the delivery milestone when having a new order and when successful or failed delivery.

When you turn on the sms message status at one delivery point,  creating a message template will appear. Fill in the form you want the customer to receive at the delivery point and choose to send a message >> Save

3. Setup email server to send messages to customers

In the Email and SMS Templates section, select Settings Email >> Add New

In the newly opened window, select an email provider: Gmail or Other SMTP Server >> Save

Gmail:

At the Gmail interface, fill in the information and then select Save

Other SMTP server:

Similar to the Gmail section, fill in the necessary information and then select Save.

4. Voice/SMS Provider settings

To send SMS automatically to customers, it is necessary to set up a switchboard to send messages, select Settings >> Voice/SMS Provider

Here select the platform/app/switchboard you want to connect to.

5. Set up automatic email/sms sending conditions

To set the conditions for sending emails/sms automatically to customers, select Customers >> Automation triggers

In new interface, select Create triggers

Here, you can set the conditions in terms of sending emails/sms to customers based on orders and customers.

Set up conditions of sending emails/sms according to orders

In the newly opened window, the type trigger is order

Then select Setup conditions by order status, order value, carrier, sales platform (sales channel), shop (store name) or tag.

In case you want to send a message to all orders, select Apply to any event

Select the value of the selected conditions. Particularly for the order value section, there is a selection of larger, smaller values, etc., while the other conditional options are only selected values ​​containing the following conditions.

After selecting the order condition, continue to set the action for the orders that satisfy the above condition.

There are 3 types of actions to choose from: Add tags, send email, send SMS.

Add tags

Fill the name of the tags you want to attach to the order >> Save

Send email

Fill the content of the email subject and select the prepared email template (see section Create Email and SMS templates at the top of the article) >> Save

Send SMS

Select a sms template (follow the instructions on Create Email and SMS templates at the top of the article) >> Save

Set up conditions for automatic email/sms sending according to customers

In the newly opened window, the type trigger is customer

Then select a condition for the order by Location or Tag.

In case you want to send a message to all customers, select Apply to any event.

Select the value of the selected condition

After selecting the order condition, continue to set the action for the orders that satisfy the above condition.

Similar to setting up conditions for sending email/sms by order, setting up conditions for customer section also has 3 types of actions to choose from: Add tags, send email, send SMS and have the same settings as the email/sms.
